The American Diva of the 21st Century Amanda Pollard does it again with her new hit single “That’s A No No”. She was invited to be interviewed by our blog to talk about her new hit. The rest is SOLID GOLD!!!
1. What inspired you to record «That’s A No No»?
I’ve noticed that recently it’s become popular to accept dysfunctional relationships. I hear songs all the time about people fighting and making up and that just seems wrong to me on so many levels. I’ve seen dysfunctional relationships end very, very badly so I just wanted to make a song that represents my point of view and hopefully it will inspire someone else to think twice about being in a toxic relationship.
2. What is the significance of the song
That’s A No No»?
My hope is that it will help someone to hold themselves to a higher standard and to demand more for themselves from their significant other.
3. Will you be touring to promote your new hit?
Yes! The routine for the this song is a lot of fun and it adds a great energy to my live show. I’m really excited about performing this song!
4. You have been doing a lot of interviews and appearances. How do you
manage to balance all of this and record a masterpiece?
When I’m writing, I just lock myself away for hours at a time and focus on what I want to say and how I want to say it. It’s not easy for me to keep everything in balance so that’s why it’s so exciting for me to actually get time to write and record because I don’t always have a lot of time to do it. On this song I was fortunate enough to have amazing production done by Brian Moody and recorded it with the engineer and owner of Maximus Music Studios Ira Parker. Working with people you enjoy being around makes the process a lot easier!
5. Will you do a You Tube video of «That’s A No No»?
I don’t have an official music video in the works, but expect live footage of this song very soon!
6. What is your message to the general public?
