I trust the title captured your attention at least for a moment. Most people are interested in doing well, or even excel in the endeavors of life. This idea applies to our work but also to our personal lives and relationships. The other part has to do with not having to try, in other words, without much effort. By human nature we like things to just flow and not have to put too much energy into a project. However; when we go about life with our values rooted in faith, we come to understand that the immediate task is ours, but the ultimate power to achieve that task really belongs to God. By faith we learn that everything depends on God, then wisdom would suggest that everything must be entrusted to God. Proverbs 16: 3 tells us “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” So many of our important plans in life simply fall apart because they were not aligned with God’s will. Daily we need to be guided by our higher power in order to succeed without really trying. Proverbs 16: 9 reminds us how: “ The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.” If you are interested in success, then commit your work to the Lord and let Him direct your path.
