Laura Marie [singer songwriter from San Antonio, Texas] is my nomination for RRI Personality of the Year for 2013. Her latest album «The Season» contains songs that are down to earth with true meaning. She sings from the heart at a time when conglomerates in America dictate to the artists what to sing and how to sing it.
Her verses are about peace and understanding between the people of the world which she practices. Laura Marie is never afraid to embrace causes that promote these concepts. She recently wrote and recorded a song in solidarity with the people of Syria. Her interpretation of «The Cherry Tree Carol» [ a Christmas Classic] inspires people to free themselves from negative thoughts.
It is hoped that Laura Marie receives The Personality of the Year 2013 Award from RRI for her music and desire to improve the lives of people.
