Dear Amtrak:
It has come to my attention that you will remove the diner cart from the Silver Star as an experiment. The experiment would be light hot or cold sandwiches and beverages during the trip from Miami to New York.
The purpose is to see a reception for a service with reduced price for those who want the service. I beg to disagree.
The beauty of Amtrak is discovering America via its tracks and enjoying the great food that the service offers. I would prefer to pay more and enjoy the beef and chicken served in Amtrak than to have a sandwich and hope that it would fill the stomach during the long trip along the Eastern Seaboard.
Please reconsider what you will do or I might have to take the Silver Meteor or Car. Thank you for your time and patience.
