On the day before Thanksgiving 2011, I took my car and drove around the neighborhood and arrived at Capilla Del Rey [The King’s Chapel] out of curiosity.
They were having Bible Studies and I decided to sit in the back so as not to disturb the people participating. The other reason was that the Albania Syndrome was active within me until a miracle happened.
Dr. Luis Angel Diaz-Pabon [the Pastor of Capilla Del Rey and an eminent personality] asked me “What are you doing in the back of the chapel?” I tried to explain my desire to remain in the back but the nature of his desire for inclusion overrode everything.
He said “Come and participate in the Studies” and I could not refuse. For the first time in many years, the sense of peace was returning to me. The threat of an internal civil war and the Albania Syndrome was disappearing little by little.
I was greeted by two people in Capilla Del Rey, Lilian Da Silva and Fernando Soto. They [along with Dr. Diaz-Pabon] started to minister me with Bible Readings from the First Letter to the Corinthians by Paul.
I could understand Paul since he was a Jew by blood and ethnicity born within the Roman Empire making him a citizen of that state. I looked at the other people and the cameras and saw people with a sense of inner peace.
The answer was apparent that with God there is inner peace. My belief was awake since it was asleep for a long time.
After deciding to dedicate to God, I applied the same thing with my sports and culture blog. The ratings in my blog which were plummeting stabilized with the opportunities to interview Musical Ministries arrived as well as interviewing sports figures.
The same occurred with Independent artists around the world. I eventually had a radio show based in Central Florida while living in Miami.
Yet there was something missing.
I eventually fell in love again with my first girlfriend who returned to Christ and married her. It was a dream that became a reality as everything fell into place.
As I celebrate four years of inner peace, the realization exists that it has to be worked and defended on a continual basis. The inner peace has to be based in the Bible and that one should not let down their guard.
There is still more to be done but at least everything is in place. I have tried to write was important in my testimony so that it could serve as an inspiration to others.
The lessons that could be learned are the following:
- All roads lead to God if people were to exercise their free will in that direction.
- From Christ, the road to a better and peaceful life abounds and is plentiful.
- The Bible is NOT just a book but a Way of Life.
- Family is important whether it is blood. If the immediate family is not available, the Family in Christ is important.
- Home is where God and the Heart are present.
- Inner Peace is not a given even after accepting The Lord Jesus Christ into your life. Inner Peace must be nourished and worked on a daily basis under God’s umbrella in order to avoid a relapse
Thank you. God Bless Everyone.
