Julie Nolen and Mandy Rowden: The Heart and Soul of Texas and America

America starts 2016 with a society searching for its identity. This search is symbolized by personalities in a politically correct society claiming to be the heart and soul of America (especially Texas).

This morning, I heard two albums of one of my favorite artists Julie Nolen and Mandy Rowden. Ms Nolen’s «Dignity and Grit» and Ms. Rowden’s «These Bad Habits» reveal the heart and soul of Texas and America by awakening the person to reality.

The verses and the melodies of both albums are original filled with gut wrenching truths that the musical and other elite don’t want to address. My favorite songs from «Dignity and Grit» (Julie Nolen) such as «Texas» and «Piss and Vinegar» are examples with verses that address why and how are people in real life. In other words, life has every sphere and must be addressed directly.

«A Courtesy You Couldn’t Understand» from Ms. Rowden’s album «These Bad Habits» tells the painful truth (no sugar coating) to those who behave like total a….holes because they deserve it. Other songs such as «Kansas City» reveal the inner America of people who are down to earth and willing to help others.

On a personal note, I listen to Julie Nolen and Mandy Rowden’s album while driving the Florida Turnpike, I-75 and I-95 as well as Krome Avenue in West Miami Dade. The reason is that their music keeps me entertained and alert while on the road as well as receiving my dose of truth.

My ratings for the album are with the letters A through F with A being excellent and F a failure.

DIGNITY AND GRIT BY JULIE NOLEN.    A

THESE BAD HABITS BY MANDY ROWDEN.    A
