I just received my order of the CD «Leah and Her J-Walkers» recorded by the group with the same name. After reading about them in their webpage, I heard the disc and they are true to what is Americana and Southern music (with the original instruments, sentiments and melodies) without the artificial flavors of mainstream music.

While Leah and Her J-Walkers are succesors to Elvis Presley and the Stray Cats, they go further with original music to a beat that remains a part of the American soul.

One of the songs «Danger Dolls» makes people forget the daily routine to go to the beach with family and friends. It evokes a time when people could (and still can) go to a malt shop or a place like Shoneys or Steak N Shake and enjoy life with typical American food.

It can also gives people the temptation to let loose and dance with their partner free from the worries of a society consumed with time. Leah’s voice and the group have made this possible by being true to themselves in a musical sense.

If you want to enjoy life, you can purchase their album at theirs or any website and store that sells their CD. At a time when the mainstream wants to dictate our musical taste, it is time to say MOVE OVER MAINSTREAM WE ARE TAKING BACK OUR MUSIC SINCE ROCKABILLY IS ALIVE AND KICKING FOREVER.
