The Christmas season is here and there is a lot of music which deserve to be heard. One such album is «Hungry Ghost» by Aly Tadros.

Ms. Tadros voice and style reminds me of the singer songwriters of the previous century with their style of acoustics, vocals, and Americana rhythm. Yet her music is rooted in the realities of 21st century America where struggles in personal life are the norm.

One such example is the song «Silence of the City» which deals with a society that relies on monotony to keep control while the individual attempts to find freedom. «Rivers» is of the same vein while «This Is How You Lose Her» reminds me of losses secondary to a lack of appreciation of a friendship or romantic partner. «Your Escape» is an invitation to get away from the daily grind and take risks.

My favorite «Higher Than A Moon» is soulful with instrumentation that is haunting and Ms. Tadros singing with the voice of relaxation mixed with seduction that reminds people of nature. The rest of the album is a continuation of the same format with great results.
