At a time when there is doubt as to the good of humanity, I managed to learn a few lessons within the past weekend. This occurred after a Metallic Rock Concert and Interview in the Florida Countryside.

I went to participate in the interview and enjoyed the concert until 10:00PM when I decided to return home. I remembered my wife and others telling me about the perils of the countryside while experience has showed me the same or otherwise.

I made the decision to drive north along FL SR 997 against my judgements and others as well taking into account the lack of or scant lighting in some areas. The night is also filled with those who are truckers [good or bad] as well as alcohol, drugs, cults, and certain people who have not accepted the ethnic diversity that is in America.

While driving up FL SR 997, I was listening to music on the radio and suddenly the radio turned off. In its place, there was the intermittent light showing the Battery and the Air Bag which lead me to think that something was definitely wrong.

I decided to keep pumping the accelerator within the Speed Limit and prayed to God that the car would continue to run until there was light at FL SR 94. I saw the traffic light and illumination on the corner of FL SR 997 and FL SR 94 and turned right on the intersection.

The decision was to continue until I arrived home or until the car stopped was the primary decision. The inevitable happened on the corner of FL SR 94 and SW 167 Ave with the car stopping after the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree and the sensation of a possible accident entered my mind.

It was not for long that a Florida State Trooper came to where I was and asked me if I needed help. I explained to him my situation and he pushed my car with his car to the nearest open air shopping mall where I was told to call for help and remain until it arrived.

I acknowledged my understanding and thanked the Trooper while I called my wife and the tow truck. I received a Wassup message from a family member in which she offered help but I told her that I called a tow truck and that it was coming.

My wife texted me about the incident and I received a call from the tow truck with notification of arriving within one hour. I went back to texting my wife and we discussed about the night concerts although she understood my work as a blogger and journalist.

During the one hour wait [which appeared to be an eternity although I was tranquil], an employee of a supermarket appeared to me [and he was in the drivers seat of his car] asking if I needed help. I thanked him and said that I was waiting for a tow truck.

The employee called his girl friend [who was also an employee of the same supermarket] and both called the security of the open air shopping mall. The response was increased security in the premises as well as a comment about FL SR 997 with my response being one of thanks and understanding.

After the employee left, the security guards came and told me that there are no problems since the patrols were increased. The same advice came and the response was the same because it was better to have the car break down in FL SR 94 than in 997.

The security guards left as they increased their patrol of the area while I was waiting for the tow truck. Finally at 11:30PM, the truck arrived and asked if the Battery was jump started in which the reply was no.

The battery was jumpstarted and I received advice to drive home and take the care to the mechanic the next day. I did this and arrived home around 11:45PM in which the car was turned off.

The next day, I changed the battery and thanked God for His help and learned the lesson that humanity still exists even in a polarized society. The other lesson was that it is better to listen to the advice [including one’s own intuition] before doing something that can be regretted later on.
