I remember when I was born again in the early 1980’s, I would listen to a Christian radio station each night. They had a series about people who had been ensnared by the New Age movement; and how these people operated to manipulate children of God.

We were taught to listen intently to their teachings to see how they cunningly incorporated the name of Jesus every so often. They obviously felt that in doing that, it would lend credibility to their beliefs and teachings.

I praise God that my primary gift is discernment – even from a very young age in Christ. I learned quickly to detect  that «check» in my spirit when something being said was not right.
