CONCACAF Nations League : North American Realities Of Life [The AG News Show]

In the CONCACAF Nations League for this week, we will be dealing with the realities of two giants in North America. The realities based on the paths chosen in their road to the World Cup in 2022.

Mexico

We have witnessed Mexico rising as a regional power secondary to Tata Martino becoming coach and powerful players such as J.J. Macias in spite of a few inconveniences. This is expected to be the norm as Mexico continues to accumulate victories and increase its opportunities to book their ticket to Qatar 2022 especially during their expected victory against Panama.

USA

The Stars and Stripes have suffered from trauma related to not qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, a Presidential Election in US Soccer, and the drama surrounding the selection of a Manager. Although Berhalter is great, I still think Jurgen Klinsmann never received opportunities to guide US Soccer taking into account the gridlock at all levels [staff and players included].

America appears to have a fatalistic attitude concerning Qatar 2022 which reminds the underwriter of the song «Should I Stay Or Should I go» by The Clash. It appears that US Soccer has the attitude of wanting [but not going through the motions] to qualify for Qatar since the 2026 World Cup will be played in North America and this is not the way to win matches.

It appears that the Stars and Stripes were content with the victory against Cuba without taking into account that the last time the Caribbean country participated in a  World Cup was 1938. AMERICA MUST WAKE UP, GET ITS ACT TOGETHER AND START WINNING IN ORDER TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR IN FUTURE WORLD CUPS.

CONCLUSION

The reality for today is this although it can change since nothing is absolute in life.
