A Letter To FTC Concerning COPPA [RCAG]

I am writing concerning the FTC Implementation of COPPA. COPPA is a great law but there is a need for clarity in the law for the You Tube Creators and those who enjoy watching You Tube. There should be a definition of what is considered «child directed» instead of expanding it to «child attracted» so that family friendly channels can survive. Family Friendly Channels are needed if we are to decrease the amount of violence and lack of respect affecting our great country the United States of America. One example that I could propose is that classification for minors must be increased from 13 years of age to 18 and make You Tube Kids available to that age group. Parents must be made responsible with an increase in the Parental Control Switch for those wishing to use You Tube since there is You Tube for kids and adults. In other words, there should be a rule for Mixed Audience, Child Only [18 and under] and Adults only so that Content Creators can decipher what is necessary in order to publish a video which complies with COPPA yet not lose creativity nor lose the right to freedom of speech. The USA belongs to everyone and the rules must apply equally to everyone
