I would like to nominate Jessica Shepherd for RRI Personality Of The Year 2019 because of her great career in the Texas Americana Music Realm. At a time when artists have become nothing more than puppets for the music establishment, Ms. Shpeherd restored Americana Music from Texas to its original state with her spontaneity on stage as well as original music from «Youre Country Now» and her participation in «The Rockin Gospel Project.
The album «You´re Country Now» is very original in its expression of true Americana Music with its down to earth style. The same is with all of Ms. Shepherd´s albums as well as her participation in «The Rockin Gospel Project» which is a Hippie Mass [that brings the Word Of Christ back to its original roots with lessons to be learned] in Austin Texas [where Ms. Shepherd currently resides]
The music of Jessica Shepherd was instrumental in inspiring me to renew my life after an experience which left me depressed. After hearing her music, I was able to rebuild my life and marry my first girlfriend because the Verses in Ms Shepherds music was full of love of life as well as liberty and being happy which is also Americas motto.

It was her style of music that helped her receive the nomination for the Texas Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year for 2010 and her video One Way Ticket To Austin shows a natural side of Texas not present in conventional tourism commercials with its lakes as well as forests. Ms. Shepherd also recorded a series of duets with other artists that have helped Texas Music take its place among world music secondary to its contact with nature.
