I am a Christian who is Independent and in disagreement with all political parties. I agree that Trump should be removed from office and the rest of the government [Legislative, Judicial, and Executive] should go with him while Article Vof the Constitution is invoked.
The Constitution has Article Vbecause the Founding Fathers knew that America would arrive at this situation and this is the case before things get worse. Article V is used in case government abuses the people as we have seen as well with Legislative, Judicial, and Executive since Congress has been abusing its trust with their representatives calling for violence against those who support Trump or other candidates.
Article V needs to be invoked by the support of 60% of the States in the Union and if invoked, all powers must resign in order for the people of America to work out what would be good for them. During this time, we can have a new Constitutional Convention in which ALL POLITICIANS HAVE TERM LIMITS since they should be our employees not our masters.
We should go back to allowing anyone who has an idea to run for public office, get elected for one term and then get their butt back to real work instead of having separate insurance and privileges for themselves while the rest of us are screwed.Article V should also include an abolition of political parties since George Washington once warned that political parties would eventually destroy America and he was right since this has been the history.
What about the Republicans and Democrats? Have them pay reparations to every US Citizen [including minorities] for what has been done to the people of America and the world from the Native American Genocide to the Regime Change Wars of the 21st Century in their name, in the name of democracy [we are still a Republic] while taking the name of God in vain. Article V will not be a cure all but it could be a starter for a renovation of the institutions of America and its return to the people.
After all, America is a great country because of its people instead of the corruption and infestation that emanates from New York, Washington DC, and Hollywood. It is hoped that Christianity Today can discuss the possibility of Article V as a resolution to what is happening in America before it is too late.
For those who say «We do not have a King», at the rate we are going, it would not be a surprise if America goes the way of the Roman Republic during the last years of Julius Caesar or the Roman Empire of the Romulus Augustus.
