So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!   I want you to get up right now. Sit up. Go to your windows.  Finch in movie Network

I think I speak for most of us when I express my frustration on what is happening with our country’s politics, the main stream media, and last but not least to “we the people”.

The USA’s system of government, a Constitutional Republic, was mostly secured by three pillars; our separation of powers, the media, and the wisdom of the population.    Our forefathers predicted that excess ambition and the resulting corruption would be the biggest threat to their experiment.

They never foresaw to what extent these human frailties would be so prominent that our very existence and indeed the worlds would be threatened.    For the last decades the opposition party who by definition should oppose, has done so in such degree that instead of opposing they are “blocking”.

The main reason for that change has been because their ambition for power, i.e. being elected, has become more important that the ideological differences even if it means disregarding the welfare of the country.    For those that still value our country more than the idolatry for a party or a leader, witnessing how our elected politicians can strongly support one idea if it is theirs, but oppose the same if it comes from the opponents, our frustration and despondency increases.

To be fair the Democrat/Socialist party has been more united and adept at these maneuvers than the Republicans that are always disagreeing among themselves.    The media, the theoretical “watchdog”, that was supposed to keep our leaders accountable and the citizens well informed, have mostly become partisans of one party and instead of keeping us honest they do their bidding.

As we approach the next election we will have to choose from one of less ideal candidates, and hope that it results in helping a country needing steady leadership in order to avoid being replaced by anarchy and eventual radical, left or right leadership.

 I am mad as hell and refuse to be defined by a bunch of uneducated, spoiled, criminal, and useful idiot’s anarchists that pretend to demean me because of my age, sex, race, and so called “privilege”.    I am not going to take this anymore; I am old, white, male, the only privilege I had was being born free as have the majority of people.

I did have many opportunities which others might have not, but they only lasted until my early 20’s.   I believe what’s’ important is not what you get via family or luck, but what you do with it.    The harder the effort, the greater the rewards not only material but spiritually.

After immigrating to this country, I had nothing, only freedom.    I never complained, justify my achievements or lack of, by the action of others,  I fought for my moral and ethics regardless of who was trying to change me.    Obviously, I will not be different now!

I will not be told what words to use, what persons or symbols to admire, what books to read or what movies to watch.    I refuse to apologize to the less fortunate or to explain if I am racist, sexist, homophobic, etc.   As an MD I can attest to the fact that not only black, but all lives matter and speaking the truth does not make anyone a racist.     I know what I am, and constantly judge myself on my actions and improve them when not living to my standards, will not act by the desires dictated by a bunch of hooligans.

It feels like I am reliving my early experiences in Cuba, my homeland, when Fidel claimed he was a democrat only seeking justice for the less fortunate, imposing social justice by taking away only the fortunes of the capitalist corruptions and excesses, and distributing these assets to the “poor” in free education, health, retirement, etc.    Socialism?, sounded great, but with these promises came press and public censorship, and when as a university student I complained, I was threatened with prison, or worse.

The capitalists fled but the homes were occupied by the castroites, not the public as the regime became more intolerant and repressive.    I left before Fidel acknowledged the obvious, it was communism.    So my friends that is who I am.    I am not playing the useful fools game.    I am mad as hell and not taking it anymore!    I ask; stop being the silent majority.    Join me;

I AM MAD AS HELL AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!
