Thank you Bobby!!!

Got to be honest with you, for me, I have always associated the name “Kennedy” with the betrayal to our Bay of Pigs heroes. When I thought of Kennedy, I thought of J.F.K., and his treason to the 1,200 members of the Brigade 2506, especially the 100 heroes who lost their lives, when he [JFK] in one of the most cowardly acts of war ever refused to give air support to the Brigade troops which eventually led to their defeat and demise.

Yes, the name Kennedy had left a really bad taste in my mouth, if only worsened by  brother Ted Kennedy, who embodied everything that I despised of Democrats and the Democratic Party.  Ted, as we all know, cowardly let a 28-year-old lady friend drown after crashing the car that he was driving.  Don’t get much worse than that, does it?

Bottom line, again, the name Kennedy just brought the worst out in me.  That was till yesterday when Robert Kennedy Jr. a/k/a RFK, Jr., had the guts to call -off his run for the presidency while endorsing Trump – the subject of my main narrative today. First and foremost, kudos to Bobby for what he did, which, take my word was not, I promise you, easy for him do, albeit he was turning on both his Party and his family as well –  all credit to Bobby.

I have to be honest with you all, when Robert F. Kennedy Jr., announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election in April 2023, at first, it rubbed me wrong. I said to myself, here we go again, not another Kennedy. Besides my obvious prejudice for the man, however, I could not help but see in him something different than what I saw in the other Kennedy’s.

Bobby went to several interviews on Fox news, and, despite his voice disorder which sometimes made it hard for me to follow what he was saying, I could tell this guy did not altogether fit the old Kennedy profile that I had in my mind. First, I thought the man incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable in geopolitical matters; man was like an Encyclopedia of foreign affairs.  I was very much impressed with some of his dialogues with Fox’s hosts, which were, by default, conservatives.

I could not help noticing in Fox’s interviews that many of his postures and political policies were centrist.  Yes, he was a democrat at heart, but…I venture to say, he did express certain postulates which clearly concurred with the very basic ideals embraced by conservatives and by the Republican Party – this caught my eye and my interest.  I also noticed that in areas where he had ideological disagreements or divergences with his democratic ideals, he was able to converse and agree to disagree in a tone and manner unlike all other democrats.

All in all, I was somewhat impressed with the man during his campaign, as much as I was cautiously hesitant not to trust him given his family’s heritage.  But, then again, I had a mental tug-of-war, as I liked what I saw, with the caveat that I was not ready to give him my blessings, given his last name.

Must say though, what Bobby Kennedy did yesterday, was enough for me to put all my prejudices aside and have a whole renewed perception of this man.  First and foremost, I think every Republican should be grateful to him for what he did an in the way he did it.  Besides the fact that he called off his campaign and he publicly endorsed Trump was good enough for me, but moreover, the way he did it, his speech to announce his historical decision was, simply said, praiseworthy.

Again, I thought his speech, for those who watched it, was majestic. The way he articulated his reasons for what he did was magnificent.  In a gentlemanly and discreetly correct way he gave the middle finger to the Democratic Party, to Joe Biden and to Kamala Harris.  In addition, he called a spade a spade and eviscerated the fake-news media and social media, for their corrupt and dirty role they have played for years; for their misinformation, for their censorship; for their unscrupulous manipulation of lies, etc.

He went as far as saying that “democrats have destroyed democracy” in this nation, which, for me, topped it all. There will be many, besides democrats, I assure you, in the conservative public opinion universe who will criticize and question Bobby’s motives for what he did – I don’t.  Be it whatever that persuaded him, I really don’t care. At the end of the day, he did it and it was gutsy.

But, what about what RFK, Jr.’s decision will do for the elections. Notwithstanding the much-varied opinions as to who will benefit more, Harris or Trump, I say, the big winner, without a question in my mind is Donald Trump. I say this, Bobby’s percentage of votes in most all polls in the swing-states was 5% to 6%, which translates into 50K to 100K votes.  In this presumably close election, this 50 -100K votes could, in fact, make the difference in who wins or loses.  I say, Donald Trump is not going to inherit the full 5% to 6% votes, as, among these, there are some die-hard democrats, but I do see Trump benefiting by as much as 3% of Bobby’s voters, which, is still significant.

The next benefit to Trump is one that you will probably not hear mention of it from any news media organization, including some of the conservative mouthpieces.  One hidden added value, albeit immeasurable, is the “psychological” impact that Kennedy’s decision brings with it.  First, this was a huge blow to the Democratic Party as, one of their own, telling the world what they [Democrats] were all about.

Also, under the psychological umbrella, the fact that someone whose last name translated to Democrats, now endorsed Trump also served to boost the moral of the Republican Party, at a time when the Democrat’s National Convention and the reinvention of the Communist bitch was helping to narrow the gap between the candidates in the polls.

For anyone who watched last night’s Arizona rally where Trump and Kennedy joined together onstage, you could not help sensing a feeling of unison; of triumph and of the light at the end of the tunnel shinning once again, for which I say, once again, thank you Bobby.  Kudos to you. Your decision might have been what we needed to carry us over the top. You might, in fact, have saved not only our nation, but also the world.  God save us and God save the United States of America.
