WHAT IS ON YOUR BALLOT FOR THE NOVEMBER ELECTIONS

Dear Friends:

Below are my choices in voting on everything that is in the ballot for the elections. I voted «Republican» straight down the line. Also please note your Congress and State Representatives may be a different District [other candidates] than mine.

On the Amendments and everything else, I detailed how I was going to vote and I also specified what a «Yes» or a «No» vote means. I am not suggesting that you have to agree with me. In each vote, I specify why I am voting one way or the other. I am in the process of translating this to Spanish. I shall publish the Spanish version tomorrow. Thank you. Hope I was able to help some of you who did not know what you will be voting for.

15. No. 1 Constitutional Amendment
    Article IX, Section 4 and Article XII
    Ref: Partisan Election of Members of District School Boards.

I am voting “Yes.”

A «yes» vote supports making school board elections partisan beginning in the November 2026 general election and for primary elections nominating party candidates for the 2026 election.

A «no» vote opposes making school board elections partisan, thereby maintaining current procedures where school board members are elected in a nonpartisan election.

16. No. 2 Constitutional Amendment
    Article I, Section 28
    Ref: Right to Fish and Hunt

I am voting “Yes”, I don’t like government telling us we cannot hunt and fish in Florida.

A «yes» vote supports establishing a constitutional right to hunt and fish in Florida.

A «no» vote opposes establishing a constitutional right to hunt and fish in Florida

17. No. 3 Constitutional Amendment
    Article X, Section 29
    Ref: Adult Personal Use of Marijuana

I am voting “No” – marijuana is a drug. A yes vote is for allowing youth to smoke.

A «yes» vote supports legalizing marijuana for adults 21 years old and older and allowing individuals to possess up to three ounces of marijuana.

A «no» vote opposes legalizing marijuana for adult use in Florida.

18. No. 4 Constitutional Amendment
    Article I, New Section
    Ref: Amendment to Limit Government Interference with Abortion.

I am definitely voting “No”.

A «yes» vote supports adding the following language to the Florida Constitution’s Declaration of Rights: “… no law shall prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.” Amendment 4 would maintain the current constitutional provision that permits a law requiring parents to be notified before a minor can receive an abortion.

A «no» vote opposes amending the Florida Constitution’s Declaration of Rights to provide that the state cannot «… prohibit, penalize, delay, or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient’s health, as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.»

19. No. 5 Constitutional Amendment
    Article VII, Section 6 and Article XII
    Ref: Annual Adjustments to the Value of Certain Homestead Exemptions

I am voting “Yes” as this will help surviving spouses of deceased veterans.

A «yes» vote supported allows a homestead property tax discount to be transferred to the surviving spouse of a deceased veteran.

A «no» vote opposed allows a homestead property tax discount to be transferred to the surviving spouse of a deceased veteran.

20. No. 6 Constitutional Amendment
    Article VI, Section 7
    Ref: Repeal of Public Campaign Financing Requirements

I am voting “No.”

A «yes» vote supports repealing the state constitutional provision that provides for public financing of campaigns for those running for elective statewide office who agree to campaign spending limits.

A «no» vote opposes repealing the constitutional provision that allows for the public financing of campaigns, therefore continuing to allow public campaign financing for statewide candidates who agree to certain spending limits.

21. County Straw Ballot Question – Should Miami-Dade County take action to expand free public Wi-Fi access countywide, including advocating for any necessary changes to state or federal law?
    I am voting “Yes.”
