Everything Happens for the Best

Hi friends. I would like to preface my narrative today by acknowledging ahead of time that my message today may very well sound farfetched, irresponsible, controversial and/or all the above. Before you pass judgment, however, I am compelled to make a disclaimer which is intended to try and somehow mitigate my madness.
Here is the deal. As we all know, last Friday, millions of people watched on public T.V. as, presumably, all hopes for the end of the Ukraine war kind of went up in smoke, following one of [the] most contentious public political debates ever in our history between two heads of state, namely, Donald Trump on behalf of the U.S. and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As we all could have anticipated, the events that unfolded, paved the way for democrats and for all Trump-haters to call him off. I have heard it all. Rep. Seth Moulton [D-MA], among many others called President Trump “a coward, a Kremlin puppet; he was called a dictator. They called Trump a “national disgrace.” The Democratic senator from Connecticut, Chris Murphy said about the Trump, Zelenskyy meeting, “what an utter embarrassment for America. Murphy called it “a planned ambush” by Trump.
Besides all else, I am sure, on our side of the aisle, all the Trump haters in America, joined-in the defamation crusade and, many, I bet you, have already blamed Trump for not bringing peace in Ukraine. Well, surprise, surprise. Let me say this to you, for the most part of my life, I have lived by a principle which has been kind of my motto, my guiding light in all I do, which is that old cliché that says, “everything happens for the best.”
Here is the point that I am trying to make. What if I told you that, the events of last Friday, the infamous Prize Fight at the Oval Office between Trump and Zelenskyy, might have been the best that could have happened to end the war in Ukraine? This is the way I look at the whole thing. First, in hindsight, the world realized that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is an arrogant S.O.B., who has been emboldened by a Biden administration that gave him all he has wanted and then some, without asking for anything in return.
Zelenskyy thinks the world, the U.S. and all the NATO countries owe him something. With the pretext of what was in the best interest democracy, the U.S. continued giving to where the man [Zelenskyy] felt bolstered. Again, to where it was not a matter of all nations voluntarily going out of their way to help Ukraine. It was, instead, all nations morally and economically bound, responsible, obligated to help, thus no need for Zelenskyy to be thankful, grateful and/or appreciative for what everyone had done for his nation, moreover, for what the U.S. had done after absorbing a lions’ share of all the war’s expenses.
This is the mentality that prevailed in the midget’s mind as he walked into that Oval Office last Friday. To make matters worse, the so-called “minerals deal” proposed by Donald Trump, made his head even bigger as he really thought he had an upper hand in all negotiations, on the minerals, on the war, on everything. Little did he know he was screwing around with the wrong cadet. He might have forgotten there was a new sheriff in town.
Imagine, for just a moment, if this man [Zelenskyy] would have gone to a summit with Russia with the same arrogant attitude he went to the Oval Office. During the Oval Office exchange he expressly said he was expecting for the U.S. to lean to his side in the negotiations. Sure. In other words, how about slapping Putin together? Yes, sure, that would have ended anything but the war, believe me.
Anyways, my point being, the exchange with Trump, ironically may be [the] best thing that could have happened to give us a shot at ending the war. I think the midget is now, in hindsight, realizing how stupid he was as well as realizing that he will need to make certain concessions, as well as Putin will also need to concede as otherwise everyone is playing with fire and risking an escalation of the war, which could be really dangerous for the world.
As an added-value bonus, in addition to having this mental and physical little person coming back to earth, what happened has also been beneficial for the U.S., in terms of NATO and the European Union. Notably, in the aftermath of the Oval Office prize fight, Zelenskyy, as expected went looking for moral support from NATO and President Emmanuel Macron, wasted no time in saying that the rift between Trump and Zelenskyy, brought about the realization that they [Europeans] could not continue being as dependent on the U.S. as they were in the past. My comment on Macron’s comment is good, about time that European nations undertake their share of responsibility to defend their interests in that continent. Long overdue.
Bottom line, and/or summary, I would strongly urge anyone who may be swayed to criticize Trump for what happened to, instead, be critical of [the] only one who acted irresponsibly, disrespectful, and ungrateful, namely Volodimir Zelenskyy. About time that we all, as a nation, as a people, rallied behind the only president capable of sparing us any more wars, moreover, wars that not really ours. Last, as far as what happened in the Oval Office last Friday, hey, again, “everything happens for the best.” God save us and God save the United States of America.
