The Marxist Mamdani Venture

Yes, no doubt, after four years of a Biden administration, by most metrics of normalcy, we are now looking at good times in terms of democracy, in terms of safeguarding the Constitutional Republic willed to us by the forefathers. No doubt that Donald Trump’s presidency has been a blessing in disguise for this nation. That said, nonetheless, we cannot, by no means, let our joyfulness and our optimism distract us from some dangerous major changes simultaneously taking place such as is the subtle and inconspicuous election of a full-blown communist as Major of New York City – the latter worldwide viewed upon as an iconic symbol of capitalism.
As I watched New York’s Majoral Candidacy Primaries and I realized that a full-blown communist by the name of Zohran Mamdani had swept the primaries and is today way ahead in the polls to win the forthcoming race in November, it raised a warning flag for me as to what the Mamdani experiment represents in terms of the future of this nation. Again, notwithstanding all of Trump’s successes, what is happening in New York, just goes to tell me that Communism is alive and well, still. My fear is that New York could very well be looked upon as the epicenter and/or the foundation of a cancer that may very well metastasize to the rest of the nation in years to come.
The more I thought of what is happening in New York, the more I questioned how people, how anyone with common sense could root for a Marxist Communist whose platform is sure to run this city to the ground as well we know it has happened in every place where this failed system, this failed ideology has been tested. And the more I thought about this simple contradiction, the clearer I saw the answers to this absurdity. How can anyone in this day and age, I asked myself, remotely be a supporter of Marxism, of communism, of socialism?
As I searched for answers to this incongruity, it dawned on me that just about the only way you can want something that is not good for you is either you are too stupid to understand it and/or you are a masochist, a glutton for punishment. And, by default, it also dawned on me that the fact that there is a universe of “useful idiots” out there clamoring for the Mamdani’s, the Castro’s, the Maduro’s of the world directly correlated to “illiteracy”; to not knowing, to not being educated, to not having an intellectual capacity to discern good from bad.
The last time I checked there were “forty-two million American adults that cannot read at all; fifty million that are unable to read at a higher level that is expected of a fourth or fifth grader. The number of adults that are classified as functionally illiterate increases by about 2.25 million each year. Twenty percent of high school seniors can be classified as being functionally illiterate at the time they graduate. I chuckle every time I see interviews of young men and women as they are asked the most basic question on the history of their nation, i.e., who was George Washington? And many do not know the answer. Really sad if you think about it. If any American does not know who George Washington was, do you really believe they will know who Karl Marx was? Alternatively, do you think they would know what are the fundamental principles and concepts underlying Marxism and Communism?
While I know that I would be wasting my time in trying to educate New Yorkers, I would love to ask them to take a quick peek at the Cuban and Venezuelan models to see how they feel and think of what happened in these two nations. I am picking these two countries [Cuba and Venezuela] only because they are both contemporary examples of Communism.
Case that, by a God’s miracle someone in New York reads this narrative, let me just tell you, both these countries [Cuba and Venezuela] have parallel histories as both were taken over by Marxist / Communist regimes. And, ironically, both nations, Cuba, and Venezuela, both happened to be rather prosperous nations before the Communist takeover, and both now rank among the poorest nations in the world.
To be a little more specific and to put things into context, in the 1950’s, Cuba had a thriving economy and was one of the leading island-nations in the world. Venezuela, on the other hand was one of the most prosperous nations in the world as well, often referred to as the “Saudi Arabia of South America, blessed as one the world’s richest countries with their oil and petroleum reserves. After their Communist takeovers, after both nations implemented changes such as those now being proposed by Mamdani in New York, both nations were driven to the ground.
In Venezuela, the poverty rate nowadays exceeds 90%. Malnutrition is widespread and is a daily reality for millions. In Cuba, the government-run stores À la Mamdani proposed platform, food scarcity became so bad under Fidel Castro’s communist regime to where Cubans had to rely on “ration books” for basic food staples and as food stores shelves became depleted while Cubans waited for hours in line to get their basic food staples from the government whenever available.
I wonder how New York capitalists, how New Yorkers in general would feel if they had to pay $8.00 for a gallon of milk when accessible? I wonder how New York capitalists and how New Yorkers in general would feel when earning an average monthly salary equivalent to $30 dollars per month? I wonder how New York capitalists and New Yorkers in general would feel when their new Mamdani administration rations their food staples. Then and only then, will people begin to understand why those of us that “have been there and done that” keep fighting Communism and all it stands for.
Then again, we all know of that old cliché “you do not learn with someone else’s head.» Actually, and honestly, I am to the point where I am Machiavellically wishing for Mamdani and for Communism to win in New York as though, irrespective of all the bad that can come of it, maybe it is time that New Yorkers, Democrats and Americans in general have a taste of their own medicine. Maybe the “Mamdani Venture” will serve, once and for all, as the awakening call that the rest of us, good conservative Americans have longed clamored for over the last twenty years since the Democrat Party started their Marxist crusade. God save us and God save the United States of America.
