Democratic Socialist – A Vernacular of Deceit!

I guess we can all agree that when someone is sick, the very first thing that is needed for a cure is to have a correct diagnosis of the illness. Vis-à-vis, we also know that a missed diagnosis can have catastrophic consequences in a patient. Well, metaphorically speaking, this is the same thing that happens in politics. If we miss on interpreting what a candidate stands for, we could be in a lot of trouble, which happened to many Cubans who, at the beginning of the Revolution, thought that Fidel Castro was the Messiah, and…look at what happened.
For years now, I have been loudly and repeatedly expressing my frustrations with Conservative Republicans, including a wide range of individuals who shape and influence political public opinion—such as radio and TV hosts, social media influencers, political commentators, and elected politicians.
It is somewhat ironic, sarcastic, caustic, but moreover dangerous that, in the last twenty years, the words “Communist” and “Communism,” have been literally eliminated from all political vernaculars. Ironically, the greater the threat, the less you hear the word. I have thought about it and tend to lay blame on the 1950’s McCarthyism period in which, according to then Senator Josephy McCarthy there was an intense anti-communism crusade in the United States characterized by public accusations that communists had infiltrated government.
Besides McCarthyism, I also blame a culture of ignorance, a culture of illiteracy, those who cannot even spell communism, let alone understand what this failed ideology is all about. I think that the truest example of the point I am trying to make is seen in the recently won mayoral race in N.Y., by Zohran Mamdani. To put it simply, man calls himself a “Democratic Socialist” – for God’s sake, give me break.
Notably, to use either label “democratic” or “socialist,” instead of “communist” is, as far as I can tell, an insult to all of us who understand what communism all is about. Yes, President Trump, has been one of the few in the public arena who has called a spade a spade. Other than that, for the most part, a cabal of illiterates continue labeling this man a Democratic Socialist. For starters, I hate to see the term “democrat” used in conjunction to anything that smells like communism. To do so is sacrilegious, heretical, impious. Ditto for “socialist”, however this term has a closer association to the word communist as it refers to those who support a political ideology that advocates for collective or government ownership and control of the means of production, which, translates to the very essence of communism, if yet perceived by many as a just cause.
As far as this Mamdani experiment, I think the fact that it is being referred to with all kinds of vanilla labels serves only the purpose of endorsing, backing, and validating a subliminal acceptance of a political ideology that can only result in chaos for all those who endorse it. I know many of you out there are treating the Mamdani experiment as something trivial, and inconsequential, passing. Many are just expecting the experiment to fail and its failure to serve as an example for the rest of the States. To those in this mode, if you happen to be of Cuban descent, just look at what happened in Cuba, to wit, we took the Castro Revolution for granted and, to this day, most of us kept thinking it would be just a matter of time before it failed, and…sixty six year after-the-fact, we are still waiting.
I personally have a vastly different opinion. I think the fact that N.Y., was ready, willing, and able, to elect a Muslim Communist, who has openly let the world know what he intends to do is a telltale sign of what could be in store for the U.S. in years to come. My premise being, first, Donald Trump will only be president for one term. And, even if we win the elections in 2028, still, I am hesitant that our Republican Party has what it takes to stay in power. I look upon Donald Trump as a once-in-a-lifetime political phenomenon – a difficult act to follow.
Meantime the fact that Mamdani won in New York is more serious than many of us are willing to concede. Take a look at some of the stats, there are 13.6 million registered voters in N.Y. For starters, of the 13.6 million registered voters, in the NY mayoral race, the total votes were 2.04 million, which is only about 15% of the total registered voters. I do not have precise statistics for the Jewish vote in N.Y., but I know there are approximately two million registered Jewish voters, of which 33% voted for Mamdani, despite the latter’s Muslim inherent hatred for Jews. I find this statistic outright incredible.
So, what can we infer from these statistics? First, according to the numbers, it is clear to me that many New Yorkers just do not give a dam about their city, which usually translates into complete idiocy, a total absurdity considering what is at stake here. I am not even discussing how I feel about the Jewish vote. Consider only this, if the two million Jews in NY would have gone out and voted against Mamdani he would have lost the race easily, yet 33% of Jews voted for Mamdani. Then again, I must conclude that an overwhelming majority of voters in N.Y. are either too stupid or are gluttons for punishment – both maybe.
Bottom line and/or moral to my narrative today is, I am sick and tired of the vernacular of deceit that is prevalent in just about every media outlet. Zohran Mamdani is not a socialist democrat, he is not a liberal, he is not a progressive, he is not a Leftist, Zohran Mamdani is a nothing, but a God dammed Communist and no one in this nation should use any other term or label when referring to this garden variety of Fidel Castro.
Finally, to all who regard this Mamdani experiment as simply an innocuous undertaking, I strongly urge you to reconsider the potential damage that it may cause, considering that there are millions of Useful Idiots, a universe of the failed, the envious, the less adept – a coalition of resentful misfits that are only looking to rely on Big Government as a Messianic redeemer for mankind’s’ flaws, thus the appeal of communism to many. Meantime the communist elite in this nation seeded in the so-called Democratic Party has mastered the art of placating with demagoguery to all those who look upon Big Government as the ultimate “redeemer.”
In closing, may I remind everyone that Karl Marx believed that the United States was uniquely suited for a communist revolution because it represented “capitalism” in its most developed and purest form. Marx’s theory of historical materialism posited that a communist revolution would occur in highly industrialized, advanced capitalist country where conflicts amongst the classes prevailed. What say you?
