Kyoto Protocol: The Truth

I have to talk about the Kyoto Protocol in a comic vein, I am sorry but there was once a time that I supported the Kyoto Protocol. I changed my position when I read a BBC News Website Article about New Zealand levying a fart tax on farmers every time their sheep and cattle burp or fart. This is a violation of human rights since burping and farting is an inevitable part of living things. All animals burp and fart which includes the authors and enforcers of the Kyoto Protocol. I am assured that the people who wrote the Kyoto Protocol and approved it must be suffering from Anal Retentive Symptoms or some form of Constipation. What will come next? Will I get fined by the Kyoto Protocol Police because I burped and farted in public? I can imagine that a Social Club in Devon who banned a 77 year old pensioner for farting in the club must have been a victim of the Kyoto Protocol. I would like to change gears to discuss another aspect of the Kyoto Protocol by quoting Benjamin Franklin: «Fart Proudly».   The economic aspect of implementing the Kyoto Protocol would be enough to seriously damage any economy. The Heartland Institute in collaboration with Frank B. Cross [who is the author of “Could Kyoto Kill?] The Mortality Costs of Climate Policies.” the estimated costs of implementing the Kyoto Protocol would be between $7 billion to $1.8 trillion while the fatalities secondary to use of lighter vehicles [as mandated by the Kyoto Protocol] would increase. Another negative aspect is that houses designed to adhere to the Kyoto Protocol would have to decrease ventilation which will increase Carbon Monoxide in the house. Carbon Monoxide attaches rapidly to blood than Oxygen and can kill the person.  Federal and Government Mandates for Air Control have never been successful has witnessed in Florida. Florida used to have an Annual Inspection to see if Cars met Environmental Emissions Standards. The Law was abolished only to be reinstated in 1991. From 1991 to 1999, Florida Residents had to subject their car to an annual inspection of Carbon Dioxide and other pollutants before receiving their tags or license plates. The result was that cars that could not pass the standards had to be fixed in order to pass the emission standards. The result was many people paying almost One Thousand Dollars for Emission Compliance. The law was a failure and was revoked in 1999 by Florida Governor Jeb Bush. [I may not agree with Bush but this was an intelligent move]. In conclusion, The Kyoto Protocol should never be ratified and should be scrapped since it is a nonsensical concept based on a perfection that can not exist in Earth.                 REFERENCE:BBC News: «NZ flatulence tax outrages farmers»http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/3005740.stmAssessed on the 3rd of March 2008
