As I am writing this article, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are nearing the day of reckoning in two states which are Ohio and Texas. In the State of Ohio for the Democrats and with one hundred and sixty one delegates at stake, the results as of the fourth of March 2008 shows Clinton at 48.2% and Obama at 42.8% according to the Real Clear Politics Blog after taking into account statistics such as Rasmussen, FOX News, Quinnipac, Suffolk, and the Plain Dealer favouring Clinton and Reuters favouring Obama. The State of Texas is a different thing altogether. The State of Texas has two hundred and twenty eight delegates at stake and it appears that as of the Fourth of March 2008, Barack Obama is holding a slight lead over Clinton with 46.3% of the vote in favour of Obama compared to 45.2% for Clinton according To the Real Clear Politics Blog and after careful study of the statistics of Reuters, WFAA, Belo, Star Telegram, Rasmussen which either favour Obama or predicts a tie [as is the case of WFAA and Belo]. The only exception to the rule is Insider Advantage which gives Clinton a lead over Obama. Personally, I am not an astrologer and the fact is that these statistics give an overall view of what is transpiring in Ohio and Texas. Many things can occur between the Fourth of March 2008 at 10:55AM Eastern Savings Time and the actual time the results are delivered.
What can be said is that since Obama has been winning almost every Primary with some exceptions by Clinton, we have to conclude that this is not an election but a wrestling and boxing match that only people like Jesse Ventura and Don King could have dreamed of. The issues have taken a back seat to the personal fights as well as counteraccusations of plagiarism or as Hillary Clinton told Obama in the Cleveland Ohio debate: «Stop Xeroxing my copy». Of course, the other issue has been health care which would be mandatory according to Hillary Clinton with Barrack Obama saying that he will have a voluntary health care system. Of course, Hillary Clinton forgot to ask Barack Obama where he will get two hundred and ten billion dollars for his recovery package that promises repair of infrastructure and jobs for the people.
