After reading in the CRI English website about the attempts of certain members of the House of Representatives of the United States of America to disrupt the Beijing Olympics of 2008 with their foolish banter, I have decided to write the following article directed at the world especially the Western World. This is a general description of Miami Florida 2008 during the period leading to the Beijing Olympics [as seen by the author] with personal comments.

A CALL TO TRUTH FROM THE WESTERN MEDIA AND POLITICIANS

For the US House of Representatives, you have done enough damage by injecting politics into everything and spoiling life for those who want to enjoy the Beijing Olympics for 2008. You have created enough damage to the people of the United States of America and the world with your support of war. The only thing that comes for your apparatus is war, war, and more war accompanied by destruction and division. You have done enough damage to people to the point that the health situation in America has deteriorated and people have been losing their sense of humour and happiness. What are the human rights that the US House of Representatives want for the world? The human rights of the US House of Representatives are the one defined as “Behave like us”. The human rights that exists in America is the one in which people are killed and assaulted for no reason while the courts favour the criminal. The Human Rights that the US House of Representatives practiced was the abandonment of the victims of Hurricane Katrina while they did nothing. The other Human Rights offered in Western Society is one in which the family is destroyed and the state favors the offending person instead of the offended. The Chinese Government helped the victims of the Earthquake in Southwestern China. The victims of the Earthquake were considered family. This was not seen in America. It is this arrogance and “human rights” that we do not need in the world.

It appears that the Western Media has been running out of stories so they decided to ruin the Beijing Olympics for the rest of the people. The Western Media including James Reynolds of the BBC, as well as reporters from CNN and other stations have been bashing China and the Beijing Olympics in order to gain a wide audience. The only people they have gained are those who suffer from a rigid personality based on politics and sports. What does the Western Media want in human rights? The Western Media represses alternative entertainment such as Nil Lara, and great personalities in favour of the mediocre personalities that exist in Hollywood such as Britney Spears, Richard Gere, and other so called experts who reside in their own cocoon while the rest of the population in America are looking for true entertainment and sports such as the Beijing Olympics of 2008. The human rights of this Western Media is based on an Anti Sports Conduct which is “since my country cannot host the Olympics, we will ruin China’s Olympics”. In the process, the Western Politicians and Western Media have been committing professional suicide by losing a lot of their listeners. The only people who see Western Media are those who have yet to awaken from their cerebral enslavement.

MY RESPONSE TO THE NEGATIVE PEOPLE

While the current situation of lies and false accusations against the Beijing Olympics and China has become unacceptable, people from all over the West including the United States of America have responded by deciding to reject the doomsayers and enjoy the Beijing Olympics of 2008. They have received inspiration from the song recorded in 1980 by Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand titled: “Enough is enough”. I am a listener of CRI since 1970 and a US Citizen by Birth who has decided that enough is enough and has decided to lead a revolution against the Western Media.

Since my return from China, people have been asking me how China is like. My response has irritated certain elements who support the mediocre leaders of the Western Media and the US House of Representatives. My impression of how Beijing and Qingdao have clean streets and roads with plenty of trees have served to discredit the lies perpetrated by the Western Press. My impressions of Beijing and Qingdao with the people being helpful from the Post Office Employee, to the employee of the Temple of Heaven helping me dress as an Emperor was like a bucket of cold water to these reporters. Many reporters and local politicians have asked me: “Roberto, where is the smog and the pollution?” My response was to tell them that they should be more responsible about what is reported. A reporter has to tell the truth in order to be credible. The Western Media as well as the Politicians have lost their credibility.

In the hospital where I work, the trip to China is still a point of discussion. In fact, the United States Olympic Teams opened a miniature shop inside the souvenir shop of the hospital where I work with the intention of selling souvenirs of the US Olympic Team. The souvenirs that were being sold were Shirts, Caps, and Auto adhesives [otherwise known as Bumper Stickers]. The sales of the United States Olympic Team Souvenirs have increased in popularity as well as the sale of commemorative coins and stamps from the United States Mint and United States Postal Service respectively. My daughter has decided to participate by giving her father [a humble CRI Listener and Supporter] an empty can of Coca Cola with the Beijing 2008 Logo. It was an honour to receive such a gift from my daughter. There are people attempting to record their version of the song “Forever Friends” which is the Official Song of the Beijing Olympics in 2008. The people are visiting the CRI Website in order to get the latest information on the Olympics or to see their friend, family member, or co worker who is a CRI Listener. It is via the CRI Website that people are learning the truth about the Beijing Olympics and its vision to promote world harmony.

My cousin who is a Soap Opera and Theatre Actress and now dedicates herself to Theatre for Children also has asked me to talk about Beijing including the Olympics. She has purchased US Olympic Team Souvenirs for herself and her son. I know of other relatives who are also in the process of purchasing their own Olympic Souvenirs. The State of Florida has a commemorative Olympic License Plate which was issued in 1994. The sale of these license plates has increased with the proximity of the Beijing Olympics for the year 2008. After all, many have classified the Beijing Olympics of 2008 as the Landmark Olympic. People will be talking about the Olympics before Beijing, During Beijing, and After Beijing.

While the Beijing Olympics have had detractors in the Western Media, certain media outlets in the United States of America who will be covering the Olympics have been inviting the people to turn off the politicians with their routine speeches and soap operas with the same repetitive subjects and turn on to the Beijing Olympics. It appears that the invitation to turn off politicians and soap opera stars have left many of them in a state of anger. The stations and billboards have been saying: “Beijing 2008 is right around the corner”. The people and those who love sports have been inaugurating countdowns to the Olympics and making plans for Olympic Parties with Tsingtao Beer, and other foods such as Roasted Pork. [My Olympic Party will probably contain Rice, Vegetables, Noodles, as well as some Roast Meat and Duck [as I tried and liked in China]. Of course, Coffee will be included]. Regardless, instead of my own Olympic Party, I may go to some of the Olympic Parties here in Miami Florida.

There are restaurants and hotels in Miami Florida that are offering their own Olympic Party with people having the right to either watch the Western Media cover the Olympics on television or watch and listen to CRI on the Shortwave Radio and or Internet. There are theatres that are also getting into the Beijing Olympic Fever by cancelling some of their performances and offering the same arrangement as the restaurants and hotels. Yet the theatres have a relationship with the Western Media and have charged. Regardless, people in Miami Florida could care less about the US Elections and the continual political infighting. The people in Miami Florida just want to have fun and enjoy the Beijing Olympics without the complications.

After I told sailing enthusiasts about my trip to Qingdao, the majority want to see the Sailing Competition in Qingdao. There were some sailing enthusiasts who decided to postpone their Miami to Key West race or move it up a few weeks in order to see the Olympics in Qingdao. They were especially happy with the photos that showed a Qingdao that was clean and that included the bay area. This was another bucket of cold water for those who report based on their own hidden agendas and prejudices since the reporters who report based on their prejudices eventually become discredited.

CONCLUSION

The People of the City of Miami Florida and the United States of America [although a silent majority] has taken into account the effort of the People’s Republic of China in the attempts to build an Olympics that is harmonious and safe. The people of the United States of America who are not hypnotized by the false idols of Hollywood and Washington know very well about the Beijing Olympics being Green with the clean streets, clean food, and an efficiency that surpasses the West. The people of the United States of America are aware that Hollywood is not America and that Hollywood has lost contact with the real United States of America.

The people of Miami Florida and the United States of America have taken into account that the People’s Republic of China has managed to achieve progress in the dominance of technology in the Beijing Olympics. There is also recognition of the fact that the People’s Republic of China is growing and that its growth started on the 1st of October 1949. Today’s China is a product of the founding and upward mobility within the People’s Republic of China regardless of what the critics may say. The people of Miami Florida and the United States of America actively support the Beijing Olympics and China.

I have had the honour of listening to CRI for a long time even when it was called Radio Peking and or Radio Beijing. During my time as a listener which has been most of my life, CRI has been the voice of reason and the truth in a world that is dominated by those who want to distort the truth. In spite of a big and powerful media attempting to convince the people that “The Earth Is Flat” and that “The Earth Revolves Around The Sun”, there are people who have decided that they cannot fathom any more lies and are turning to CRI on the Shortwave and in the Internet. Many people I have talked to in Miami Florida since my return from the People’s Republic of China have told me that they will listen to the CRI Coverage of the Beijing Olympics in 2008 either on the internet or the shortwave radio. [It must be remembered that many people are now buying shortwave radios in Florida in response to the lack of confidence in the local media in Miami Florida and in the USA in general]. Others have told me that they will see the Olympic Coverage by CCTV [China Central Television] either on the internet or on satellite television.

I would like to extend my best wishes to the People’s Republic of China, China Radio International, and the Beijing Olympic Committee as well as the International Olympic Committee for an Olympics that will be successful. The People’s Republic of China deserves this and much more for their efforts in the promotion of the Beijing Olympics.
