A week after its humiliation in Phoenix, Arizona with the Arizona Cardinals, it was the turn of the Miami Dolphins to spank a team and it was the New England Patriots. There were many Miami Dolphin fans who were bracing for the worse with New England defeating Miami. I was reminded throughout the last week by people who believed that the Miami Dolphins would defeat New England that the Miami Dolphins had «something up their sleeve».

The mastermind behind the victory of the Miami Dolphins was Robbie Brown who scored five of the Dolphins touchdowns, Robbie Brown also set a record in the history of the Miami Dolphins with the completion of a 19 yard touchdown pass to Anthony Bassano in the third quarter and four rushing scores. There were other heroes from the Miami Dolphins such as Tony Fassano, Joey Porter, and Randy Starks. The linebacker Joey Porter was able to sack Cassel while Defensive End Randy Starks managed to intercept Cassel.

Chad Pennington [the Miami Dolphins Quarterback] was able to widen the lead and the Patriots were surprised by some of the moves by the Fins. It appears that the Miami Dolphins have found their way to win games and there is more confidence in the coaching skills of Tony Spartan. Whether this is a temporary situation or permanent depends on the Dolphins practicing teamwork, not resting on their laurels, and reviewing the videos of this game [21-IX-2008] against the New England Patriots.

I myself cannot express the fact that I am very happy that the Miami Dolphins won. The fact that the Miami Dolphins won and managed to defy the expectations of a New England Patriots Victory is proof that in American Football, not everything is written in stone. The New England Patriots were able to face the first two games of the season with the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets and win these games. Yet the New England Patriots made the mistake of underestimating the Dolphins. They expected to cruise through the Dolphins at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.

The lesson to be learned is that no NFL Team should be underestimated and that the need to work as a team is inherent in order to survive in the NFL Season. It is also important to use the offense and defense constantly as well as being forceful during a game.
