TED GINN JR.
On October 5, 2008, the Miami Dolphins will be playing against the San Diego Chargers. While the Miami Dolphins defeated the New England Patriots, they lost two games to the New York Jets and the Arizona Cardinals. I have decided to take advantage of the days leading to this important game to write about Ted Ginn Jr. Many people have mixed feelings about Ted Ginn Jr. as a Wide Receiver for the Miami Dolphins.
There have been people who have wanted to blame him for the 2007 Season which was a disaster. There are people who have wanted to blame him for the Miami Dolphins Performance in the current 2008 Season. The people who blame Ted Ginn Jr. also have made comments that he is not making progress and that the Miami Dolphins do not know what they are doing.
The people who play the blame game only glanced at his statistics in the NFL and Miami Dolphins webpage as well as looked at the three games. Again, I have always said that not one person is to blame for the failure of the Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins win or lose games depending on the teamwork or lack of it as well as the confidence in or lack of confidence in the coach and/or management.
I am tired of people blaming Ted Ginn Jr. for all of the troubles within the Miami Dolphins. The time has come to talk about what Ted Ginn Jr. accomplished in the 2008 Miami Dolphins Season. Ted Ginn Jr. led the Miami Dolphins in receptions only once in this season and it would not be a surprise if does it again. Ted Ginn Jr. managed to catch the football eight times for 75 yards. Ted Ginn Jr. started the three games of the current Miami Dolphin season. Ted Ginn Jr. has two punt returns for 62 yards as well as scoring one touchdown. One of the accomplishments of Ted Ginn Jr. in the preseason was 8 catches for 97 yards. It is unfair to ask for more in the beginning of the 2008 Miami Dolphin Season especially when there were three games. Ted Ginn Jr. must be given an opportunity to prove himself this season before passing judgment on his NFL Career.
I have some advice for the critics; it is unwise to underestimate Ted Ginn Jr. since he has seen adversity in the face and rose above the occasion. It is also not advisable to underestimate the Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins may have lost the first two games but they gave the New England Patriots a humiliating defeat. I wish Ted Ginn Jr. and the Miami Dolphins the best in the game against the San Diego Chargers.
The Phins are back. I can officially take the bag of my head. This 2nd straight upset is sweet! We are no longer the league doormat.
