It was with deep sadness and regret that we learned tonight of the death of Susan Tsvangirai, wife of Morgan Tsvangirai, Prime Minister of Zimbabwe.
 
Mr and Mrs Tsvangirai were involved in a car accident earlier on today. The Prime Minister apparently sustained minor injuries and is in hospital but his wife, Susan died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
 
On behalf of all Zimbabweans, we would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences to Morgan Tsvangirai and his 6 children and we wish him a speedy recovery.
