THERE’S A RHINO IN MY HOUSE

For those of you who have been following the story of Tatenda, the orphaned baby rhino at Imire Safari Ranch, there will be a documentary about him on Animal Planet titled «There’s a rhino in my House».

This documentary will such a treat for our readers who have grown to love Tatenda. Instead of just seeing him in photos, you will be able to see plenty of film footage of him as well as Hogwash the warthog and Tsotsi the hyena so don’t miss it!

We are not sure what times it will be shown around the world but in Southern Africa it will be screened at the following times:

Thursday 18th June 8pm (tomorrow night)

Friday 19th June 2am

Friday 19th June 12 noon.

GAME CUBES FOR TATENDA

Thanks to the El Paso Rhinos Hockey Team, I was able to deliver 100kg of game cubes to Imire last week for Tatenda. Due to medical problems, I have been unable to travel to South Africa to replenish Tatenda’s stocks of milk and game cubes since February and his food has been running low. Fortunately I was able to source the game cubes locally so I bought 100kg to start with just to make sure they agree with him and if they do, I will buy another 400kg here in Zimbabwe.

Tatenda is growing into a magnificent rhino. He is almost the same size as Shanu now, who is almost 5 years old. Tatenda, Shanu and Hogwash the warthog still go everywhere together in the Imire Game Park and Hogwash is now one of the biggest warthogs I’ve ever seen.
