Egypt responded to the loss of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers to Algeria and the denunciations by Algeria before FIFA. Egypt has been the scene of riots in front of the Algerian Embassy in Cairo as its government recalls its ambassador to Algeria.
The reason has been the accusations against Algeria by Egypt of «physical and psychological abuse» before the games. Egypt has also submitted accusations against Algeria for the same reason. It has also threatened to resign from International Competitions for at least two years.
It is hoped that there are no soccer wars like the one that ocurred between El Salvador and Honduras in the late 1960’s. It is also hoped that FIFA would investigate what has happened in this game even though it has to deal with other problems such as Maradona and France VS Ireland.
