After negotiations between LA Galaxy and Everton, Landon Donovan will begin a two month and a half loan deal with the Toffees. The Toffees are another name for the Everton FC. David Moyes who is the manager of Everton has expressed his satisfaction with the news.
Mr. Moyes has stated that he is confident that Mr. Donovan will help Everton during his period which will begin on the 2nd of January 2010 and end within the middle of March of the same year.
Tim Howard who represents Everton in the USA has also expressed his satisfaction. Landon Donovan has also expressed his satisfaction saying that he has heard “positive things” about Everton.
The loan deal between Donovan and Everton comes at a time when Everton lost to BATE in its UEFA Europa League game on the 17th of December 2009. It recently had a draw against Chelsea on the 12th of December 2009 and the Tottenham Hotspurs on the 6th of December 2009 in its Premier League Game.
At the present time [16th December 2009 at 23:11 UK Time], Everton is in fifteenth place with seventeen points in the Barclay Premier League. Everton will need more than just Donovan if it wants to advance in the Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Vila within the first four places.
