Me alegro la decisión del Dr. Celso Fretes para que Cabañas permanezca en el Mundial de 2010. No sabemos cual sería el futuro para Cabañas pero él puede estar en el Mundial con su familia mirando desde el lugar de Paraguay. Quizás puede llevar la bandera de Paraguay. Hay que tomar las cosas un día a la vez. Hay que respaldar a Cabañas, a Club América, y el Equipo Nacional de Paraguay
While Club America is recovering from the shooting of Salvador Cabanas, another one of its players Juan Carlos [El Torito] Silva was shot in the left gluteus during an attempted robbery.
Jaime Ordiales who is the Sports Director for Club America as well as the rest of the team are waiting for an explanation from Mr. Silva. He has stated that he will talk with them about the incident.
In another turn of events in the Salvador Cabanas story, Dr. Celso Fretes [who is a Neurosurgeon] has suggested that Salvador Cabanas be given a role with Paraguay during that country’s participation in the 2010 World Cup.
The reasons have been the «excellent recovery in spite of the prognosis as well as a desire to participate».Dr. Fretes also suggested that Mr. Cabanas be treated by a rehabilitation team in Mexico and the United States.
While the news about Cabanas is great, the people of the world should denounce all forms of violence including those against sports personalities. The world has become too violent and it is a shame that people like Cabanas have had to pay the ultimate price.
John Lennon once said «Give Peace A Chance». The world should give peace a chance because the world has become too violent.
