The celebrities that come from Hollywood have a negative impact on society and are a bad reflection on the society inherent in the United States of America. Regardless, not all of the celebrities have a negative aspect on society. The examples of positive influences of celebrities mostly originate from Florida and Texas.

The State of Florida [where the underwriter lives] is home to Maria Lourdes. Maria Lourdes is a Cuban American Actress, Singer, Model, and member of the Chorus in a program hosted by Don Francisco [Chilean Television Host] and transmitted by Univision. She is also a recording artist in her own right.

The glory that has been bestowed upon Maria Lourdes has been shared by her to all of the people of the world. During her career, she participated in a concert to benefit a little girl called Zunette Rodriguez. Zunette Rodriguez was a girl who was born without oxygen in her brain. The result was the need to undergo costly operations.

The concert for Zunette Rodriguez raised money in order for the family to pay for her treatment. Maria Lourdes has also participated in concerts and contests in which the money went to help orphanages in Honduras. Her recent work of charity was a concert in the Magic City Casino in Miami Florida. The purpose of the concert was to raise money and awareness for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti in the beginning of 2010.

Maria Lourdes is not the only celebrity in Florida that has contributed with her time and effort. Lorena Rojas who is a Mexican Soap Opera Actress is active in the fight against Cancer. Willie Chirino and Lissette who are Cuban Singers have also been involved in helping refugees from Cuba settle into a new life in Florida.

The State of Texas is also the home to celebrities who have left a positive impact in the lives of people. Jessica Shepherd is a Texas Country and Rock Artist who is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year 2010 for the Texas Music Awards. She also developed a Music Therapy program for Senior Citizens.

The purpose of her program is applying a mixture of rock, country, gospel, as well as country western from the 1920’s to the 1950’s for residents of Assisted Living Facilitites. The music would help rekindle memories, enhance interaction between family as well as friends, and reduce tension.

The Jessica Shepherd Music Therapy program has also enhanced positive self esteem in the residents of Assisted Living Facilities and their families. She has also recorded songs that praise God including some that are in the Rockin Gospel Project at Maria’s Taco Xpress at Austin Texas.

Brenda Kay who is also known as the Queen of Texas and Americana Music has participated in helping her fellow citizen in Abilene, Texas. She participated in the clean up of the streets of Abilene from litter and clutter in the year 2009. She has also done this on a yearly basis. The program is called the Abilene Trash Off.

The State of New Mexico is home to the famous Mexican American celebrities called Sparx and Lorenzo Antonio. They established a scholarship with the intention of helping bright high school students who cannot afford higher education in their state. The purpose of the scholarship is based on the need of a good education in order to have advantages in life.

While there may be more celebrities who have a positive aspect on society. The artists who were mentioned deserve special praise for their effort to make the world a better place.
