Chivas USA Notes (1-1 vs. Chicago Fire, Toyota Park, Bridgeview, IL 5/1/2010)
• Forward Maicon Santos scored his first goal of the season and Chivas USA (2-3-1) tied 1-1 the Chicago Fire (2-2-2) on Saturday night at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL in front of 13,224 fans. Santos came in as a sub at the 69 minute and scored the tying goal seven minutes later. It was the first match between two Mexican Head Coaches in MLS history.
• Chivas USA now has 7 points in the Western Conference and a two-game unbeaten streak. The Red-and-White heads to New England to face the Revolution on Wednesday, May 5, at 4:30 p.m. PT (Prime Ticket, KWHY, W Radio 690 AM).
• After a very hard-fought first half in which Chivas USA and Chicago had only one shot on goal each, the Fire scored first at the 52 minute when Marco Pappa found Patrick Nyarko on the back post and Nyarko passed the ball to Baggio Husidic for the goal right in front of the net.
• After entering the game at the 69 minute, Santos scored the tying goal off a corner kick from Sacha Kljestan, with a header to the the upper-left corner at the 76 minute.
• Chivas USA midfielder Ben Zemanski made his second straight MLS start playing alongside fellow college teammate Blair Gavin, from Akron.

• Chivas USA Head Coach Martín Vásquez on tonight’s match: «It was a well played game from both teams. There are a lot of similarities in our style of play and it was well played. There was a lot of good combination plays, a lot of possession, some key players having good performances. We’re happy with the result.”
• Chivas USA will travel to New England on Monday ahead of its game against the Revolution on Wednesday.
