CHIVAS USA’S DEFENDER HEATH PEARCE RECEIVES SECOND 
CALL UP FOR US NATIONAL TEAM FROM KLINSMANN
 
Pearce will join22-man roster for the September 2 match at the Home Depot Center
 
Carson, CA. (Saturday, August 27, 2011) – Chivas USA’s defender Heath Pearce was called up once again to the US National Team for the international friendly against Costa Rica on Friday, September 2 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The will be Pearce’s second call up by new USMNT Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
 
The US Men’s National Team will have two matches for this round of FIFA Official dates. The first scheduled for Friday September 2 against Costa Rica at the Home Depot Center, 8:00 p.m. PT and the second versus Belgium on Tuesday September 6 at King Badouin Stadium in Brussels Belgium at 11:30 a.m. PT.    
Pearce will join the rest of the 22-player roster on Sunday August 28, after the Chivas USA match versus Real Salt Lake scheduled for Saturday August 27 at The Home Depot Center.
 
“Obviously I’m really excited for a lot of reasons, one, any time you get called up to the national team its always an honor, two, because it’s a game in California, at our home stadium (Chivas USA-Home Depot Center), and closer to family and friends so excited for them hopefully I’ll get a chance to play.” said the All-Star Defender for the Goats.
 
“This is great for Heath and again an acknowledgement of the good work he’s been doing here. Certainly I am happy for him and I hope he goes in and he does well and earns some playing time because he’s certainly done well enough for us to be there and now that he’s gotten his foot in the door he’s got to take his chance and make the most of it.” commented the Rojiblancos Head Coach Robin Fraser.
 
Heath Pearce Professional History, Numbers, and Stats
 
This will be the 19th meeting between the U.S. Men’s National Team’s and Costa Rica in their history. . Mexico defeated the U.S. (4-2) last June in the team’s last meeting during the CONCACAF Gold Cup final.
