CHIVAS USA CELEBRATES JIMMY CONRAD NIGHT SUNDAY

Join Us as We Celebrate Jimmy’s Soccer Career and Wish Him Luck in His New Ventures
 
Carson, CA. – (Thursday, September 29, 2011) – Chivas USA announced today that the club will celebrate Jimmy Conrad Night this Sunday October 2 at the Home Depot Center for the match between Chivas USA and the Philadelphia Union.
 
With an illustrious career in soccer and for his humanitarian efforts over the years Jimmy is a loved and respected member of the soccer community. Now as an integral part of the Chivas USA Youth Academy and Development programs, Conrad continues to actively participate and give back to his community.
 
Join family, friends, and fans as we all celebrate Jimmy’s Night and wish him well in all his future ventures. Conrad will meet with all after Sunday’s match in section 140 of the Home Depot Center for autographs and photos. 
 
Jimmy Conrad was selected to the MLS All-Star Team on five occasions, was nominated to the league’s Best XI four different times, was awarded the Defender of the Year in MLS in 2005, and represented the United States as a player for the Stars and Stripes, earning 28 caps and scoring one goal. In addition to these accomplishments and due to the quality of his play, he participated in the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany playing against eventual champion, Italy, and Ghana. In addition off the field, Jimmy Conrad is a man concerned for his community. He donates time and effort to raise funds and awareness while working hand-in-hand with different non-profit organizations. For said work and effort, the Red and White’s former defender was named MLS Humanitarian of the Year in 2009.
