Hey everyone,
Now that the weather is finally changing, I feel a bit more normal sending this email around. 🙂   At long last, I’m very excited to be able to announce my new Christmas record, “The Christmas We Hoped For.”

We worked on this album all summer long, which happened to be one of the hottest on record – it was about 108 degrees during most of August – and we holed up in the dark and cool confines of the studio and crafted a collection of some of my favorite Christmas songs.

There’s a little bit of everything in there – one of the things I love about the record is the diversity of styles we covered. We did some modern pop songs (like The Weepies’ “All That I Want”), a bluesy-country song that The Eagles and Willie Nelson have done, and we even arranged a few traditional hymns into a jazz-folk medley… and of course we did classics like “White Christmas” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” It was an absolute blast to make this record, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

PS: Just to clarify, this is *not* the record that we funded via Kickstarter. THANK YOU so much to everyone who helped us reach our goal! We raised almost $11,000 – ALL of which will go towards the recording and production of the new album. We anticipate finishing & releasing the new album in spring / summer 2012.
