ROJIBLANCO’S FORWARD ALEJANDRO MORENO CALLED UP BY VENEZUELA
 
Moreno Will Join La Vinotinto for the 4th time this year
 
Carson, CA. (Thursday, November 3, 2011) – Chivas USA announced today that forward and 2011 Spirit of Chivas USA recipient Alejandro Moreno has been called up to the Venezuelan national team for upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
 
Chivas USA General Manager, Jose Domene commented on Moreno’s call up: “We are very proud of our captain; he has had a great year for us (Chivas USA) and he’s had a great year with his national team, from the run they had at Copa America and now in World Cup Qualifiers. As our 2011 Spirit of Chivas award recipient he embodies our team’s core values and shows them on the field whether it’s with us (Chivas USA) or La Vinotinto. This is his fourth call up this year and he is very deserving of it, we are positive he is going to do great as always.”
 
Alejandro Moreno – Venezuelan National Team. This is Moreno’s forth call up this year with La Vinotinto. This is also the final round of FIFA qualifiers for 2011. This year has been stellar for Venezuela, as they have positioned themselves amongst the elite of South America. Venezuela’s all time record versus Columbia is 3-8-4 and against Bolivia 6-4-3.
