Rojiblancos acquire a 2015 Supplemental Draft second-round pick
CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, February 14, 2013) – Chivas USA announced today that the club has agreed to trade right back James Riley to D.C. United in exchange for a 2015 Supplemental Draft second-round pick. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Riley, an eight-year MLS veteran, made 32 starts last season for the Red-and-White and was tied for the team-lead in minutes played (2,880). The 30-year-old Colorado native recorded two assists for the Rojiblancos.
Chivas USA will kick off its ninth season when it hosts the Columbus Crew at The Home Depot Center as part of MLS’ March to Soccer on Saturday, March 2, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (PT).
