CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 26, 2013) – Chivas USA announced today that the club has mutually parted ways with Peruvian defender Walter Vilchez, whose contract expires at the end of the month.

The 31-year-old center back joined Chivas in February of 2013 and appeared in 11 games for the Goats. Prior to joining the Red-and-White, Vilchez played in his native Peru, as well as in Argentina and Mexico. In international duty, he has recorded 64 caps as a member of Peru’s National Team.

Chivas USA would like to thank Vilchez for his efforts and participation with the Rebaño Angelino.
