I had the honor of hearing the album ‘Rolling Stone» recorded by Pauline Reese. While the cover song was recorded by Dr. Hook in the early 1970’s, Ms. Reese gave it a more earthly and gutsy twist to the classic and adding beauty to it.
The rest of the songs in this classical album reveals a Pauline Reese whose art is superior to those in Nashville, New York, and Hollywood. I compared the album recorded by Pauline Reese to Taylor Swift’s «Red» album and Ms. Reese is superior.
At a time when other artists like Miley Cyrus use gimmicks to promote art, Ms. Reese is herself when singing or performing. I hope one day to see her live in Florida performing «Rolling Stone» or any of her songs.
I give Ms. Reese and «Rolling Stone» a five out of five.
