Americana Bistro Grill : Tonya Marie Faris [1967-2022]

The Americana Bistro Grill salutes Tonya Marie Faris [Florida/Tennessee] and her work as one of the greatest exponents of the genre. It came to our attention that Ms. Faris passed away this morning but her music is still with us as well as the interviews and articles we wrote about her.

We will never forget Tonya Marie Faris whose music and interpretation style were a mixture of Janis Joplin, Elvis Pressley, Bessie Smit, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Ben Harper, and Joan Baez. In addition to singing, Ms. Faris was one of the greatest exponents of Social Justice, Peace, and World Understanding at a time when people did not care for such great aspirations.

Tonya Marie Faris deserves praise for having maintained her Americana roots in music at a time when others just simply gave up and went to music that was artificial. It is because of people like her that we are able to enjoy the beauty of real music at a time when the mediocre attempts to enslave us.

I myself would like to say that if it were not for her, my career in journalism and blogging would not have soared like an eagle. It is with this article that I thank her for helping me when needed and she will never be forgotten.

For me and the Americana Bistro Grill, Tonya Marie Faris will always remain the Southern Belle of Americana Music
