The Start of Making America Great Again

As I let everyone know in my last blog post, I have been in an involuntary sabbatical because of the catastrophic loss of my computer on January 16th – a day which, in my mind, will, like Pearl Harbor live in infamy. Ironically, the dates that I have missed being in the air coincided with some of [the] most consequential events in the history of this nation.

I refer, obviously, about Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the U.S., which happened on January 20th. Imagine for a moment waiting four years for this historic landmark and not being able to write about it when it finally happened – frustrating to say the least.

Anyways, there is a lot of catching up to do, if only because, case you have not noticed, our man Donald Trump has done more in the 14 days since he was first inaugurated than all presidents combined have done in the last 20 years. I, personally, am in complete and utter amazement, disbelief, awe, at all that this man has done in such a brief period. I do not think I would be too far out to say Donald Trump has already changed, the nation, even the world in 14 days, and this is not hyperbole.

As of yesterday, February 2nd, 2025, if you can believe it, President Donald Trump had signed forty-seven executive orders, six proclamations and sixteen directive memoranda. Then again, it has more to do with the contents of these, more so than the number itself. His executive orders have been a testament to the promises made during his campaign. The president’s sweeping actions and reforms reflect all his campaign commitments to “Make America Great Again.”

Again, I am impressed, awe-struck, enthralled to see what this man has done in such a brief period. His executive orders cover issues ranging from immigration, to trade, to foreign policies, to demographic diversity, civil rights, and everything in between – far too complex for me to detail all within the scope of this brief article.

Notably, every day as I turn on the news, there is a new mandate, a new headline, a new event, all spelling, “promises made, promises kept.” Case you miss it, our Southern Border is truly closed, unlike scoundrel Alejandro Mayorka’s idea of a closed border. Case you did not know, illegal border crossings are down to almost nothing. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] have totaled more than 7,400 arrests and deportation of criminal illegal immigrants.

In fourteen days, Trump has shaken the nation and the world. There are already peace talks between Zelenskky and Putin. Colombian president Gustavo Petro was quick to bow down after first challenging Trump by not agreeing to accept illegal immigrants we had sent to Colombia. Quickly changing his mind after Trump threatened to slap punitive tariffs on Colombian exports to the U.S., Mr. Petro had a swift change-of-mind and offered to send his presidential plane to pick up the illegal immigrants.

Ditto for Mexico, ditto for Canada, and ditto for China, 25% additional tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico and 10% additional tariff on imports from China. Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum quickly agreed to send 10,000 national guard to the border to address drug trafficking and asked Trump for a 30-day pause on the tariffs. Canada’s
Trudeau, followed in the Mexican’s president footsteps also bowing down to Trump as he agreed to send troops to the border in order to help the U.S. combat the illegal fentanyl coming into the U.S. from Canada. Canada, just like Mexico, asked for a 30-day pause in the hiking of tariffs.

And, how about, all that is changing right here in our backyard. How about Trump’s crusade to drain the Swamp? How about Trump’s roll back all of Biden’s limits and regulation on fossil fuel extraction on federal lands? Best of all, how about giving executive branch departments and agencies 60 days to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion programs? And how about a memo, effective immediately, to put all federal DEI offices on immediate leave pending their elimination? How about Trump’s mandate requiring that U.S. government recognize only two genders – male and female? How about the creation of DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency] under the leadership of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramasawamy, with the objective of reducing trillions of dollars in government’s wasteful spending?

One of my all-time favorites amongst Trump new policies is his closing of the U.S. Agency for International Development a/k/a USAID, charged with delivering humanitarian assistance overseas. Dozens of senior officials and thousands of contractors were laid off; employees were told not to enter USAID’s Washington headquarters. The mandate was a direct move in Trump’s effort to eliminate trillions of dollars of wasteful spending by the government. Overall, the U.S. spent $40 billion dollars in foreign aid in 2023, most if not all ended up in the wrong hands instead of the so-called intended humanitarian aid.

Bottom line my dear friends, I think we all, every decent American, maybe even every decent human being in the world with a brain, should be rejoicing in happiness; we should be thankful to God for Donald Trump and what he is doing to give our country back to us while we came as close as ever to losing it for good. By the way, I don’t know about you, but, for me, one of the greatest revelations has been able to see, live and in color, the contrast between Trump’s new style of government as compared to the total destructive ways under the democrats’ leadership over the last four years. The contrast is magnanimous to say the least.

Finally, to all those hidden democrats that read my articles, I tell you, after what you have seen in the last fourteen days, if that does not make you change your mind about which Party is best for our country, nothing will. That and/or you have a serious case of masochism, sadism, or you all are suckers for punishment. In closing, I must say, I am thrilled, exhilarated, elated, and then some to see how democrats are in complete and total disarray, total panic. It is wrong for me to rejoice in other’s pain and suffering, but, hey, it is our turn now after four long years of misery under the rule of the Biden scoundrel.

Last, I am glad to be back here in Facebook to share with all of you once again. Moreover, though, I am glad that Donald Trump is back, while this time around, he has the value-added benefits of a political wisdom acquired at the expense of much suffering including but not limited to almost losing his life. About time, as I now turn on the news to hear all but good news instead of all the gloom we had to put up with for four horrible years. I only pray to God that the nation learned its lesson. I hope and trust that the Democrat Socialists learned their lesson. I hope that Republicans stay in control for the rest of time. Long live MAGA. God bless the United States of America.
