Inspired by Balladeer, I embarked on reviewing certain films and decided on Spaghetti Westerns. I saw the Italian film «Buckaroo: The Winchester Does Not Forgive» with a certain actor singer called Dean Reed as a protagonist. The director was Adelchi Bianchi.

The plot is an attack on a stagecoach by Monteiro and his gang. Lash [played by the Italian Actor Livio Lorenson] takes everything from a rich person named Johnny [played by Ugo Sasso another Italian great]. Johnny hires Buckaroo [played by Dean Reed] to work for him and the latter accepts the job as he is in love with Johnny’s Daughter [Annie who is Monica Brugger in real life].

Later in the film, Lash and Monteiro kill Johnny. In response, Buckaroo raises an army to fight the united forces of Lash and Monteiro. At the end, Buckaroo kills both of them after they confess to having killed the formers father in the past.

The film and acting by Monica Brugger and Livio Lorenson was great as was Ugo Sasso. At the same time, Dean Reed proved that you could ruin a Spaghetti Western vía random acts of cerebral masturbation including the singing.

There are better films out there unless you are a glútton for punishment.
