Nochebuena in Cuba!

Well, sorry to say, if you were one of the many Cuban Americans, like me, who had already started plans to have your “pork” with “black beans” and “yuca” next Christmas in Cuba, guess we all must make new plans, don’t we?  Headline news this morning is that the Castro regime acquired 200 drones to defend themselves against the American Imperialists.  Really? 

Guess the assholes don’t realize that on their slightest military attempt against the U.S., in anyway, shape or form, the U.S. could literally make the island disappear in less time that it would take to think about it. I think the Maduro takeover took approximately 48 minutes, how about Cuba taking less than 10 minutes?  From my vantage point, the fact that the son-of-bitches dared talk about “drones” comes as a pleasant and welcomed surprise as it would spare us all the wasted time in trying to use the diplomatic alternative which we all have been listening to in the past few months.  In my humble opinion with monsters like the Castros, same as the monsters of Iran, there is no room for diplomacy whatsoever.  They don’t know the meaning of the word. 

All this said, from Trump’s perspective, their touting about drones should open the doors, the perfect opportunity to, once and for all, obliterate the hell out of this dictatorship that has all but destroyed this once most prosperous Republic. I find it somewhat ironic that, while the island has the most serious economic situation in the history of the Castro Revolution, while the Cubans are starving to death, while Cubans are out on the streets eating from disposed foods; while the island is punished with continuous blackouts, while all the infrastructure in Cuba shows dilapidated building in ruins; the once flourishing Havana streets, boardwalks and parks radiantly maintained, are today all but ramshackle, tumbledown ruins, all the while as the Castro regime dares spend their stolen money in drones.  Are you kidding me?

All this said, I would not put it pass these assassins to dare and fire a drone to the South Florida area, where the largest concentration of their “enemies”, the exile community reside.  I personally think that the fact that these Cuban drones, unlike Iran’s drones are within reach of continental U.S., should give Trump more that enough reasons to start military action and prevent a much more dangerous conflict that could result in any attack to the U.S. by these lunatics, much in the same way that they downed the “Brothers to the Rescue” plane some years back. 

Bottom line, I hope you understand I started this narrative with a sarcastic metaphor. My true belief is, based on all that has been taken place, the recent visit of CIA Director John Ratcliffe in his rare unannounced visit to Havana; the announced indictment of Raul Castro for his role in downing the Brothers to the Rescue Plane, the now opulent demonstrations of Cubans fed up with living as animals, all of it coupled with Marco Rubio’s influence on Donald Trump regarding his homeland, all of it, independently and/or combined are telltale signs that the end is near for one of [the] worse Communist dictatorships known in recent history. 

I have no doubt in my mind that the end will be sooner than later. So…yes, we can all start planning on having our pork, black beans and yuca in a liberated Cuba. When this happens, for me it will be a bitter-sweet moment, as most of those who left already will not get the chance to see their free Cuba once again that being the long-sought off dream of many exiles no longer with us. With that, I now bid you all good-bye and say Viva Cuba Libre!
