Pneumonia or Head Cold?

Ever wondered what would happen if you came down with pneumonia, went to your doctor and, instead, he diagnosed you as having a head cold, told you to take a couple of aspirins and you’d be fine?  Well, guess you know the answer, right?  Chances are you could even die for not taking care of your true sickness, right?  This, friends, is the best metaphor I could think of to describe exactly what is happening in our nation today.

As you well know, nowadays, for some unknown reason, everyone in the public eye, keep conveniently substituting the word “communism” for all these vanilla labels, i.e., socialism, liberalism, Left, far-Left, Progressives, on and on.  Nowadays, you may or may not have noticed their preferred pseudonyms are “socialist” and/or “socialism”, which, again, is like branding pneumonia as a head cold. 

Ironically, the word “socialism” carries with it an aura of goodness. Think about it, please.  The word “social”, in its root nature pertains to human society and how people interact with one another to describe behaviors characterized by friendliness, companionship-oriented, or gregarious.  Semantically, the words social and socialism are designed to foster fellowship. Simply put, from a Freudian viewpoint, socialism is something generally associated with good things. 

In other words, to a universe plagued with illiteracy, the term socialism has a subliminal perception of something that is for the good of people, hence their willingness to endorse it, such as we have seen recently with the nation’s wave of Socialist democrats that first started with the election of Zohran Mamdani as Mayor of New York City, followed by a whole slate of other so-called Socialists in New York’s democratic primaries, ditto for Maine, Texas, California and all throughout the U.S.

Polling suggests that a record segment of Americans view socialism favorably.  Then again, you cannot really blame them.  They all think it is a head cold and not pneumonia, don’t they?  Point I am trying to make here is so long as conservatives in the nation, more specially those that are in the public eye, the media, politicians, social media, T.V. hosts, to all those from the “Right”, I say, so-long as we continue to use all the pseudonyms instead of calling a spade a spade, there will come a time when they [the Communists] will eventually  takeover without need to fire a shot. 

At the rate we are going, there will be a day when we will wake up to a new America hoisting a flag with the hammer and sickle – the internationally recognized symbol of communism.  I must say though, I give a lot of credit to the elite of the Democrat Party in their masterful indoctrination machinery which has been able to successfully make the words “communist” and “communism” virtually disappear from our political vernacular to where we seldom if ever we hear anyone mention it.  I get extremely pissed every time I listen to the news as the words socialist and socialism are expediently used to camouflage or disguise reality. 

Unbeknownst to many, there is a term known as the “Red Scare” referring to periods of widespread fear and moral panic in U.S. history regarding the perceived threat of communism. The first Red Scare [19717-1920] was triggered by the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. The second Red Scare [Late 1940’s-1950’s] a/k/a McCarthyism, when Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy led a public campaign targeting alleged communists during the onset of the Cold War and the expansion of Soviet influence globally.  Regretfully, McCarthy’s efforts were later dismissed as unsubstantiated witch hunts. 

Ironically, the threats of both these Red Scares pale in comparison to the threat now looming in our horizon. I say, if there was ever a right time for another Red Scare, that time is now. I will bet you anything Senator McCarthy would turn on his grave if he only knew what was going on nowadays as communism and communist are, quite evidently, out of the closet. Matter of fact, they are not only coming out of the closet, but they are also even daring the rest of us by their openness in telling us exactly who they are and what they stand for. Again, while the rest of us, mostly the influencers continue to give them a “writ-of-passage” by our continued use of our vanilla pen names.   Yes friends, our nation is suffering from pneumonia, but we choose to say that it is only a head cold. I just pray to God we don’t die from it as we are now only taking aspirins.  God save us and God save the United States of America.
